Overall:

compared to other areas in the region midland is a great eastern hub on the western side of australia. the train line ends there, theres heaps of retail development happening there and they're spending lots of money to make it a bit yuppie

not a lot of industry there so unless you work in retail it could be difficult to get work. some unsocial pockets of people still cause some trouble at times...

a great location that not many people know about. whilst housing prices in that area have boomed in WA all over, you can still pick up some house bargains here and there.
