Overall:

Quiet, pretty, rich history, fascinating geography (e.g. fossils and earthquakes), close to several major centres, wide streets, mechanic, pub, post office and primary school

Shortage of professional services (e.g. doctors, vets), poor mobile phone reception

A great place to live if you don't like noise and crowds but don't want to be too far from what cities have to offer
