| Well built with metal door latch. Good engineering. Take a good size load for a front loader. Spin cycles removes a lot of the water. Quiet running during wash cycle. As the spin cycle winds up it can vibrate the whole house and rattle the windows. Once upto spin speed it's about the same as a top loader in noise. Brushless motor should last for years. Cleans clothes really well, doesn't use much water or hardly any soap. Price was good for a machine that's above the average in terms of engineering. | hit the pause button for more than 10 mins and it switches off. power it on again and it's forgotten where it was. Have to start the wash again. Washes below 60 degress are done with water from the cold tap, washes 60 degrees and above are hot tap only. Might be a problem if you only have a cold tap, or you would like to use solar hot water for wash and cold water for rinse. Rarely goes out of balance, but when it does adding some items and hitting "play" button just switches off the machine, have to start wash all over again. Extra thick rubber feet (LG part) to reduce vibration are ridiculously expensive, something like $35 plus tax plus shipping and handling. These should be included. Pump makes cavitating burrr burrr noise when water is empty but pump cycle not finished. This is quite loud. It's a 5 minute wait on pause for the door to unlatch to add an extra item, go away and forget and in 10 minutes you have to start the wash all over. Makes a very loud and horrible "babeep deep teep" noise every time it's powered up. No way to turn off this noise, which is a shame because if I never hear it again, it will be too soon. | I've had this machine for over two years and probably done over 500 washes. On the whole very good machine. The user interface could be much better with just a few tweaks. Specific to this model: Very annoying having to repeat a wash simply because the machine was on pause for too long. Silicon rubber feet would be a few cents each to make, LG should include these with each washer to reduce vibration rather than gouge the cu$tomer. More generally: it would be nice to have a seperate outlet hose for rinse water so it could be run to the garden. The wash water is too soapy for the garden. Not really suited for wooden floors (which I have) as it shakes the house and windows. Maybe the recommeded rubber feet would help but not at that price!!! They should be free. | ||
