| There's always lots of bank tellers around in the shops etc | I had a savings card and withdrew money one day. I hadn't checked my bank bal and I thought there was more money in there so I withdrew a small amount (around $40) from Woolworths. I thought if there wasn't enough money in there it would say "declined" and I wouldn't be able to get the money out. A few days later I noticed my bank balance was -$42. When I called ANZ they said I had had a deduction of $40 (an over withdrawal fee). They told me I made a deduction at Woolworths and was $2 short so therefor I would be charged $40 for an over withdrawal. I asked them how this had happened considering it was not a credit card that I had and told them that it usually says declined if money not in there. They said, well sometimes it does let you withdraw the money. I felt annoyed bcos I was charged $40, from them letting me take money out that wasn't in available. I'm on a pension and when I opened the account they did not tell me that ppl on pensions get a card with no fees for transactions, so I had been paying transaction fees for years when I shouldn't have been. | This bank is more problems than its worth | ||
