| Yulga Jinna is a relatively new Aboriginal community established 12 years ago and since that time, infrastructure has been put in place. Yulga Jinna, which means Flat Foot, is located 130kms north west of Meekatharra. All but 48kms of the road is sealed and well maintained by the local shire and the Yulga Jinna Community. The Yulga Jinna Remote Community School opened in February 2003, and in 2004 the Community and the School signed an 'Accord' which is a document of agreed understanding between the School and the Community. The Community is very proud of their new school and are proactive in all aspects of school operations. The School Council Meetings are held consecutively with the Community Meetings that are attended by everyone. This has helped build partnerships and active Community involvement in the educational process. The AIEO and support staff play an integral part in this process.
