Middle School
In the Middle School, our programs have a strong academic focus where students work in small groups with a teacher and Education Assistant to specifically improve their literacy, numeracy and social skills. Studies of Society and Environment and Science out-comes are addressed through an innovative hands-on cross-curricular program. Our Protective Behaviors program ensures that students have the skills to make safe and sensible decision for themselves at school, at home and in the community. Additionally, students spend approximately 30% of their class time in integrated mainstream classes working along their mainstream peers.
Parent involvement is actively encouraged through the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans specific to each student's needs.
Our Middle School teachers work in partnership with the Senior School staff to ensure a seamless flow for students as they progress through Middle School to the Senior School vocational programs.

Senior School
The senior school caters for students in years 10, 11 12 and 13 through delivery of our award winning BELIEVE program, which prepares students for an independent and prosperous life after school. Students enter the BELIEVE program in Year 10 where they complete Certificate 1 in Business Services and develop foundation workplace skills by running an office business enterprise in their classroom. They also complete 120 hours of Structured Workplace Learning in local community workplaces.
In Year 11 students choose from our LINC, Retail or Building and Construction programs. Retail students complete Certificate 1 Retail Operations through the operation of the Reccino cappuccino shop and by completing 120 hours of Structured Workplace Learning in the Retail industry.
Our Building and Construction students attend TAFE 1 day per week to learn industry specific skills which they can then transfer to school based projects and their Structured Workplace Learning . Currently the students are building an outdoor patio area for Activ Industries clients.
In the LINC Program (Learning in the Community) students attend TAFE 1 day per week and complete either Hospitality Operations Certificate 1 or Automotive Certificate 1. LINC students attend a range of workplaces 1 day per week with the focus on building employment and everyday independent living skills

(As at first semester 2003)

Warnbro Community High School Education Support Centre is co-located with Warnbro Community High School, in the southern corridor of Perth, fifty kilometres away from the city centre. The area is one of rapid growth, feeding the expanding communities of Mandurah, Rockingham and Baldivis. The close proximity of the Kwinana industrial strip and the local tourist industry provides the employment potential for the area.

The community of Warnbro has played and continues to play a key role in the shaping of both schools. The newness of the area and diversity of cultural backgrounds lends itself to the concept of change and the incorporation of new learning methodologies.

The design of the combined schools is a linear one. The Education Support Centre has rooms throughout the school, fostering an environment where the education support students are citizens of the whole school community and as such is not a separate entity. A street runs through the centre of the school to maximise student and community involvement.

The Education Support Centre is known throughout the school, community and district as Warnbro Community High School Learning Centre thus blending with the partner school's naming structures of Learning Areas and Learning Teams. This has provided a very positive education environment fostering inclusive practises by the staff and students of both schools.

The next ten years will see the combined school communities experience large growth in predicted enrolments. The Centre has a current enrolment of 49 students in Years 8 to 12.

Special Features of the Centre include:

- The staff are appointed through the Local Merit Selection process. This means a highly motivated and enthusiastic group of professionals is being developed.
- Performance Improvement (Management) programs for all staff are in place.
- Individualised Education Plans are being written and developed.
- Collaborative development of curriculum and pastoral care policies.
- Established strong, successful links with our partner school to provide inclusive practises. Such as:
- Flexible timetabling arrangement
- Attending parent information sessions
- Student Council representation
- Student involvement in partner school activities - sport, clubs etc.
- Sharing of policies
- Linking of planning
