Rockingham SHS Education Support Centre (RSHS ESC) is situated on the same site as its partner school, Rockingham SHS and is within walking distance of the City Centre and Rockingham Shopping Centre.

RSHS ESC became a centre in 1999 as a result of the Local Area Education Planning process in the Peel Education District in 1998. The Centre operates within the Sub-School structure of the partner school and is a well-resourced facility that offers students with disabilities a comprehensive and caring educational program. Students attending the ESC are part a sub-school that offers a wide range of interesting courses designed to meet their individual needs and aspirations.

As a school community, we recognise that our students have individual learning needs and that learning takes place more effectively when students and teachers build strong relationships founded on respect, trust and support. Our vision is to create an environment in which students are provided with skills and opportunities to reach their full potential.
We provide opportunities for students, parents and teachers to collaborate when developing meaningful learning programs in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Our school curriculum reflects our desire for students to become responsible and productive learners who can live, work and adapt to changing lifestyles. As our students progress into the Post Compulsory Program, their studies focus on Career Education, Independent Living Skills and Recreation and Leisure.
