| In June 2002 the Minister For Education and Training announced plans to establish a new primary and education support facility to replace the existing Coolbellup Primary School, Koorilla Education Support Centre, Koorilla Primary School and North Lake Primary School. The new state of the art two storey facility, Coolbellup Community School, is currently under construction on the Len Packham Reserve in Coolbellup. During the construction phase both Coolbellup Community School and Coolbellup Community Learning Centre are housed on the existing Koorilla site. It is expected that the two schools will relocate to the new site in Term 2 of 2006. Coolbellup Community School provides a quality education for all students in partnership with and accountable to the community, producing students with an appetite for lifelong learning and the skills to contribute to society. Learning for Life describes the attitude and guiding vision Coolbellup Community School aims to provide for the children resident in Coolbellup and surrounding areas. Learning for Life involves not only the achievement of educational outcomes but also the acquisition of interpersonal skills and values necessary to make the most of opportunities that life presents. In Learning for Life individual children will need different curriculum goals, different teaching strategies and different opportunities to demonstrate the achievement of outcomes. In 2006 the school continues to focus on the development of a safe, caring and inclusive learning environment using additional funding sourced through the Behaviour Management and Discipline Strategy and the Federal Government Values Education Good Practice Schools Project. Those students requiring either or both teaching and learning adjustments (from education support to academically talented and those with personal and behaviour issues) are supported by a Student Services team comprising a Deputy Principal, a Learning Support Coordinator and a school chaplain. The team also accesses a range of mentoring programs. Also located on the site is a Learning Centre with 20 students in Years 1- 7. The two schools operate in an inclusive environment that recognises the individual differences of all students. The school enjoys close links with the community. The school continues to seek to develop shared facilities, to continue to work with the Adventure Club in the provision of after-school programs, to support the Parent School Partnership Initiative Committee in the provision of quality learning opportunities for indigenous students and to work with a range of outside agencies to support the school community. | ||||

| Good sporting grounds. Central location in the suburb. Teachers are very approachable and professional. | Extremely poor Administration which misrepresented information and attempted to hinder the transfer of a child to another school. | Would not recommend this school to anyone expecting integrity in their communication. | ||
