Cloverdale Education Support Centre caters for students with special needs. It is situated on the Cloverdale Primary School campus which is located in the City of Belmont. Belmont is an older, inner metropolitan suburb and is situated 15km from the city centre. Students attend from Cloverdale, Belmont, Kewdale, Riverton and Redcliffe and a school bus transports students who do not live within walking distance.

Cloverdale ESC was established in 1988 and moved into new facilities when Cloverdale and Whiteside schools amalgamated in 1998.

Cloverdale ESC has well appointed facilities with four classrooms located in different teaching blocks throughout the school campus. All classrooms are air conditioned and have a minimum of five computers for student use. Two classes have interactive white boards. The Centre has a Therapy Room and a fully equipped kitchen. Cloverdale ESC shares a library, computer laboratory, music room, staff room, conference room, canteen and playground areas with the primary school.

Cloverdale ESC has a principal and a registrar located in the shared reception area in the Administration Block. Each class has a teacher and a full time assistant. We have a music specialist and a LOTE specialist who teaches Japanese. We utilize the services of a school nurse, an Aboriginal and Islander Education Officer, school chaplain, school psychologist, social worker and a speech therapist and occupational therapist from Therapy Focus.

Cloverdale ESC's behaviour management program is based on 'Stop, Think, Do' principles. We incorporate values education into the day to day curriculum, and work closely with the Cloverdale Primary School in the implementation of Values education strategies. The school has zero tolerance toward bullying and rewards appropriate behaviour whenever possible.

Cloverdale ESC is an inclusive school which welcomes all students and shows respect for all cultures and religions. Cloverdale ESC students integrate with the Cloverdale primary school students in the playground and in selected classroom activities. The schools have a combined P&C and provide pastoral care through the breakfast program, parent support group and anti-bullying committee. Joint activities include the swimming carnival, sports day, after school sports and Year 7 graduation.

ESC students have the opportunity to participate in additional school activities, with two of the Year seven school councillors being appointed from the Educational Support Centre.

Cloverdale ESC aims to develop the whole person socially, emotionally, intellectually and morally engendering a positive self-image and independence in daily life.
The school motto is 'Working Together To Achieve'.
