| Keilor Downs College with over 1400 students, is a large stand alone 7-12 college on the outskirts of the metropolitan region. The area has seen massive housing development since the inception of the college twenty years ago. The student population and teaching body reflect the many different national backgrounds of the surrounding community. The college is divided into the Middle School (Years 7-9) and Senior School (Years 10-12) for Welfare and Management and curriculum purposes. Year 10 is treated as an introductory year for VCE, with the timetable aligned with Years 11 and 12 and with many of the processes and terminology of VCE introduced at this year. Year 10 students are encouraged to take VCE units in this year, and there is also a special program run for students who are at risk because of lack of confidence and self-esteem. | ||||

| There are 4 (males) really good teachers in the Science department. There are about 3 (women) teachers who are extremely good in maths. About 3-4 good teachers in the English department. | It is to dusty. And keilor downs is hiring too many young teachers who don't seem to have the passion to teach. Building the FLC room was a waste of money that was funded by the governement for the education of the students. Many students as well as Teachers has agreed that it is not effective for teaching as all three classes collide with the noise level of about 75 kids in total. | A typical state school that does not try hard to motivate children in their studies and career paths. Keilor downs has potential to change its system. But overall, it is up to the student's effort if they want to soar. Th sky is the limit! | ||

| Great teachers, who are nearly all willing to see their students succeed and provide the school and the state system with a better image in the process. It has an accelerated program that has worked extremely well in the past, delivering high results for involved students. | Facilities, but this can be expected in any underfunded state school. Some older teachers have grown out of touch with their students; this could change with more training and indeed more open minds. | Any said violence has too much to do with intruders rather than students and the school itself. The mix of younger teachers and more experienced ones provides a necessary range of teaching and learning stlyes, in fact newer methods are preferable for today's students. It is a school that should be highly recommended. | ||

| Its programs, like it's SEALP program, are definitely boosting the already revered name of the school | Cleanliness doesnt seem to be one of the high points of the school, but this can be expected due to the large number of students and the fact that the gully is just behind a fence | The school does have its minor shortcomings, but it is still by far one of the better schools in the region, I'd even go as far as to say it's the best public school in its zone | ||

| to me as a student that attends keilor downs colleg...it is a fantastic school all the teachers a great and they and they really do want the students to acheive a hight standard | maybe the violence but in the past it has been blown way out of paportion but what high school does not have some form of violence in there grounds. It has really died down and they are just iresposible kids that just want to punch on although saying that it has nothing to do with the school | To me i think it is fantasitic and it is one of the best schools in the zone and i do encourage others to apply | ||
