Hoppers Crossing SC opened in 1984. It drew on the best aspects of both technical and high school education. The College was established as a result of the need and aspirations of the community at a time when the Ministry of Education was encouraging local communities to have a much greater say in determining the type of secondary education they wanted for their children.
In recent years the College population has stabilised at about 950. The College has consolidated its curriculum foundation and is proud of its record in preparing students for tertiary entry, job training or employment.
The history of our College is special, because it reflects the very close partnership we share with all members of our education community. Together we pursue a challenge being the provision of the best possible comprehensive curriculum package to the young people of Hoppers Crossing. Our College is the product of our community's search for excellence in education.
