Waddington Primary School, established in 1979, is located approximately 15 kilometres from the Perth CBD in the City of Wanneroo in the locality of Koondoola (an Aboriginal word for emu). and has an enrolment of 120 students.

The School provides a quality education for all students, giving them the skills to maximise their individual learning potential throughout their life, in academic, social, physical, cultural, creative and practical areas.

Waddington Primary is characterised by its bush setting, with many trees and areas of natural bush. The school has a competent, dedicated staff and currently all classes are housed in air-conditioned double classrooms giving opportunity for a wide range of activities. Nearly all the classrooms are equipped with 'Smart Boards' which are an interactive whiteboard that can be used as a whiteboard, video screen, touch sensitive computer screen that open up a wide range of learning opportunities.

Students are fortunate to have access to quality playing areas including grassed lawns, a large oval, a covered assembly area and two basketball/netball courts. A recently redeveloped playground was constructed using an innovative design that promotes interactive play and features facilities such as a climbing wall.

A variety of sports are played and there is an emphasis on participation and fitness with daily fitness activities being provided. The school participates in the local schools sporting competitions.

The school has a Principal, Deputy Principal and a team of dedicated classroom teachers supported by a Literacy specialist, Art specialist, Physical Education specialist as well as weekly Indonesian lessons. The school also has an integrated Education Support Unit.

In 2006 the school has the services of a part time Community Liaison Officer and Aboriginal and Islander Education Officer to promote the school and to enhance School and Community links.

The school has a well defined code of conduct and behaviour management plan. This is supported by a range of effective pastoral care programs providing students and families with a caring and supportive environment.
