| Victoria Park Primary School is an inner city school situated near the Swan River in Victoria Park, some five minutes from the city. The school was opened in 1894 making it one of the oldest built by the Department of Education and Training. Due to its historical significance the buildings at Victoria Park Primary School have been heritage listed by the Heritage Council. Victoria Park Primary School has a multicultural student population of 250, with 14 percent of the students born outside of Australia and 19 nationalities represented among the parent body of the school. Compared to State results, the school has performed strongly in mathematics and literacy in the Western Australian Literacy and Numeracy tests (WALNA). Almost without exception our students performed above the state average in all aspects of these learning areas. We follow the future progress of our students with keen interest. The school has a very active P&C Association who work in partnership with the school to enhance the learning environment of the students. The P&C recently completed air conditioning the entire school in a major project spanning five years. Other projects which have benefited from the fund raising efforts of this group include the historic photo display, final year assembly awards, reading book and the environmental garden. In consultation with the local council and Roadwise the P&C has also been committed to a safer traffic environment around the school. The school culture at Victoria Park Primary is happy, productive and vibrant. The school has a healthy enrolment future. | Bullying is strictly not tolerated. Teachers really do care about how well the children perform academically. The children are always stimulated by lots or incursions, excursions and events. | Some of the teachers in the higher grades are quite strict and traditional in their approach to dealing with the children. | I would highly recommend this school. It has brought out the best in my child and I am very happy with the way things are done in this school. I would give it a rating of 9 out of 10 because the children who go to this school have excellent manners and are really just a bunch of good kids. | ||

| it is quite a neat school with generally well behaved students. They do quite well in education. | there doesn't seem to be much flexibility of the teaching.talented students don't get extended much. | It is a pretty good school, better than many. i would give it 7 out of 10 | ||
