| South Lake Primary School is surrounded by a lake system in a wetlands area that is integral to the culture of the local Noongar population. It has students from a variety of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds with an experienced, energetic and hardworking staff. South Lake Primary School is a cluster design school with many opportunities for collaborative teaching.Teachers in each cluster operate as a planning team who gather their own information, plan and implement their section of the school development plan in line with whole school directions. In 2005 provision was made for cluster planning to develop common assessment tasks and making consistent judgements. This process enabled staff to report to parents using the schedule b reporting format. In 2005/2006 South Lake staff have actively embraced curriculum and accepted responsibility for whole school planning. Our school has a specialist drama, physical education and LOTE Teacher and has developed programs to further improve outcomes for Aboriginal students and to improve understanding and reconciliation. Our staff work hard at our managing student behaviour. policy and practice. A concerted whole school effort and the adoption of strategies from key behaviourists has seen a dramatic decrease in negative behavioural incidents. Parents are keen to help out in classrooms and we have an active Parents and Citizens Association. | ||||

| There is none | were do I start? you are treated in a revolting why and if there is a foght or something like that it is never delt with or no one ever is punished it is a waist of your money and time its better of leaving your child at home thay will learn more watching the tv then what thay will if you send them there and thats saying something coming from someone who is still going there and finally this is my last year at that reached school.I am still currently at this school and its still a dump and has not for 6 years of my life. | Its one of the worst schools ever. | ||
