The South Bunbury Primary School has been a feature of the Education of Bunbury students since May, 1913. The current school buildings were opened on 7th September 1948. The original school building built in 1913, is now used for a community youth project, a seminar room and the district PEAC centre. The school is situated only 3km from the General Post Office in a well established residential area of the city. The school has 12 traditionally built classrooms located around a central quadrangle and undercover area. There are two demountable classrooms which serve as music and art rooms. The school has a purpose built library, which also houses an Information Communication Technology laboratory. The Pre Primary and Kindergarten children are located in two purpose built Early Childhood centres and a house, which was the old community based kindergarten. The school is surrounded by excellent grassed areas for students to play in. The school site is shared with the South Bunbury Education Support Centre, the purpose built dental clinic, the Bunbury District Primary Extension and Challenge Centre and Investing in Our Youth project.
