Perenjori Primary School opened in 1912 with an enrolment of 13 children. School numbers gradually increased, peaking at 103 in 1971. The schools projected population indicates that numbers will remain stable for the next few years at between 50 and 60 students.
Perenjori currently operates with three multi age classes, incorporating K/P/1, 2/3/4 and 5/6/7's. The school has specialist classrooms set up for Arts, Music, Information Technology and a library.

Programs offered include Languages other than English (Japanese), music(brass and guitar), Permaculture and Creative Arts, Perenjori has a commitment to values throughout the curriculum and Virtues Education forms the basis for a whole school approach to building a culture of character throughout the school and community. Great importance is placed on providing opportunities for students to develop knowledge, skills and attitudes to contribute successfully to a rapidly changing society.

PARENTS & CITIZEN'S ASSOCIATION:
The school has a very active and supportive P & C. The students and staff greatly benefit from the P & C's involvement and participation with a wide range of activities and projects throughout the year. The key functions of the P&C are to foster and maintain positive links between the school and parents/community members; and to assist with fundraising to resource identified priorities across the school
