The school priorities for 2007 are : Reading, Measurement and Society & Environment. The school has specialist programs in Visual Arts, Physical Education, Music and Performing Arts, Languages Other Than English (Japanese) and also cater for students at educational risk by providing additional teacher support.

The school successfully hosts groups of students from Junior High Schools in Japan. This year 15 students from Kosei Junior High School will visit the school in November.

The school's Music program has been enhanced with an emphasis now on the Performing Arts. This involves Music, Drama and Visual Arts. The school has an active Parents & Citizen's Association. Through their efforts the school is air-conditioned. They continue to support the learning programs by providing additional resources for all learning areas. The school's parent centre confirms the role of the parents in the school and as such has become an integral part of the school community.

The School Council consists of seven members (four parents, two teachers and the Principal). They have played an integral role in developing the school's Managing Student Behaviour Policy, the school Dress Code, Surveying the School Community and the School's Contributions and Charges Schedule.
