Compare with all other primary schools.
The only school in the local government area of the Town of Cottesloe, North Cottesloe Primary School enjoys a very good reputation within the community. The school continues to develop an ethos of a Community Centred School where the school is a central point of the community. Our parent community is committed to their school and our students. The school is well located, being on the Perth to Fremantle railway line and only a short walk from the ocean at North Cottesloe Beach.

The experienced staff has a low turnover rate and most have been at the school for several years. Staff members are very committed to their roles and are most supportive of their students. A strong collegiate bonding is evident. The school has a Principal, Assistant Principal and a Special Responsibilities teacher. Several staff members have attained Senior Teacher status.

There is a most supportive and very active Parents & Citizens Association, which provides significant resourcing support for our students. The North Cottesloe School Council is active in its role across the school. Council has a key role with our School Plan and Annual Report, Budget, the review of student performance data, and with matters of school policy.

Specialist teaching programs are offered in Music, Art and Craft, Languages other than English (LOTE), and Physical Education. An emphasis is placed on Information Communication and Technology (ICT). The school enrols students from Pre-Primary to Year Seven, and also administers the Seaview Community Kindergarten, which offers a sessional kindergarten program. Enrolments are strong, to the extent that the school is now a local intake school.

School facilities include a hall and music room, art/craft and science room, Information and Computer Technology (ICT) Room, and an automated Library Resource Centre. The covered assembly area offers an all-weather student venue, while the well-maintained grounds provide abundant lawn play areas, and shade from the many mature trees.

The school was established in 1913. The buildings are modern inside, with much of the original architecture being retained. Due to the hard work of parents and staff, the school is well resourced and offers a very sound and broad education to our students. The school enjoys a very good reputation within the community. North Cottesloe Primary School students consistently perform well in a variety of educational and sporting environments, and achieve very sound academic standards.
