Located in the beachside suburb of Mullaloo, approximately 25km north of Perth, Mullaloo Heights Primary School nestles in a quiet suburban community with attractive bushland areas. The school is bordered to the west by Charonia Park, with its oval and extensive grassed play areas and to the north-east by Periwinkle Bushland, a community-managed area of native bush.

Enrolment currently stands at 266 students from Kindergarten to Year 7, with students drawn mainly from the Mullaloo area. Approximately 30% of students come from other suburbs.

Programs offered include an Environmental Studies program (including a chicken coop, student gardens, and a School-wide re-cycling program), a Specialist Music program, individual music tuition for selected students, French and Dancing (Term 4). Students also attend swimming lessons and Primary Extension And Challenge courses.

Mullaloo Heights Primary School is committed to environmental education and in 2003 was awarded the 'United Nations Association of Australia - World Environment Day Award' for the best school-based project. This project included the establishment of an environmental enclosure and work on the local environment including Periwinkle Bushland. In 2004, students established bird nesting areas in trees within the school grounds by the construction of nesting boxes. In 2006 students worked with the school gardener on a soil enrichment program in their vegetable gardens and have run successful Fresh Produce Markets at school assemblies. Funds raised at these markets are returned to the garden area.

The school experiences success academically and in sport, competing in AMC Maths competition, Speak Out awards, a Technology and Enterprise competition(award winner 2006), LOTE French poster competition (award winner 2007), Choir festivals and interschool sport. In 2007, school netball teams won the 'B' division, and were runners-up in the 'A' division of the interschool competition.

Experienced staff take a special interest in the student as an individual and strive to achieve the best possible outcomes for students. The school enjoys strong parent support and encourages regular links between school and home, with an active Parents and Citizens' Association and a School Council that provides support with the governance of the school.
