| Mosman Park Primary School is committed to the provision of a stimulating, safe environment where each child has the opportunity to fully develop academic, social, emotional, physical and creative skills. The school was established in 1906. It is located in the western suburbs of Perth. The school is a very important part of this small community. The grounds are spacious, covered by grass with many trees providing shade and complemented by a wide range of challenging playground equipment. The school is committed to equal opportunity, provision of student support and the integration of students with special needs. It has a wonderful ethos of being a caring and friendly community centred school that encourages excellence and strong values from its students. It is a school that has many outstanding features and is held in high regard by its parent community as a centre of learning excellence. The Mosman Park School for Deaf Children shares the same site as our school. The students from this school work in the classes with hearing students. Both groups of children study the Auslan Language. The school has twelve classrooms which includes an Art Room, Library, Music Room, Canteen and a Technology Centre. The school actively participates in sporting activities: - Swimming and Athletic Carnivals. - Summer and winter type interschool competitions. Initiatives in which Mosman Park Primary School takes particular pride in the following aspects of school life: - Computer laboratory and access in all classrooms - Perceptual Motor Program - Sunsmart Campaign - Environmental Education - Buddy Class System - Deaf student integration into classes - Music Programmes - Integration of children with special needs - Sporting achievements - Extensive automated library resource centre - Pastoral Care initiatives - Community Programmes - choir, band - Auslan Information to parents is provided through fortnightly newsletters, consultation, questionnaires, formal parent/teacher interviews.
