| Located in the Perth suburb of Midvale, approximately 20km north east of the city, Midvale Primary School has been recently rebuilt within an established residential area. The large play areas and spaced teaching blocks are the main feature of the school site. The school is integrated with the Midvale Multi-Agency Service Centre that provides services and programs to address community development. Enrolment currently stands at 285 students from Kindergarten to Year 7 with students drawn mainly from the Midland/Midvale area. Midvale has a reputation for being inclusive and providing quality education programs especially for those students with special needs either aboriginal or non-aboriginal. Support Programs offered include: Education Support Unit Indigenous Tutorial Assistance Scheme [ITAS] Year 4,5,6 Behaviour Management & Discipline Friendly Schools & Families - K-7 Exploring Together - P-1 Roots of Empathy - Yr 2 Languages other than English (Indonesian) Getting it Right - Literacy Midvale has a commitment to the Curriculum Improvement Program Phase 2 and Building Inclusive Classrooms as we continue to strengthen our approach to Outcomes Based Education. Great importance is placed on providing opportunities for students to develop knowledge, skills and attitudes to contribute successfully to a rapidly changing society. The school has experienced success both academically and on the sporting field, winning the interschool football competition. Parent-teacher support is developing through creating opportunities for communication policy. The P&C is extremely active striving to raise funds with support being gained from the local community, agencies and businesses. | purpose built buildings friendly families my teachers were fantastic
