| Lockridge Primary School is located 12kms from the Perth CBD in the City of Swan and has an enrolment of 325 students. The school boasts a large lawn area for sporting activities, gardens with quiet seating as well as state of the art playground equipment. Our school site has five cluster teaching blocks containing seventeen teaching areas, a large well equipped resource centre and a fully equipped theatre, which is shared with the on-site PEAC Centre. Lockridge Primary School offers an innovative environment where staff recognise that students learn at different rates and believe that their time at Primary School is just one chapter of life long learning. We believe that students should have access to a flexible, supportive learning environment and have the opportunity to progress at their own rate of development. We provide support for students with specific educational needs in an inclusive environment. We value and aspire to excellence in teaching and learning aimed at maximising the educational achievements of all students. Numeracy and Literacy are priorities with children learning through active engagement with their environment, negotiation with their teachers and cooperation with their peers. All classes have a suite of computers and direct access to the school network and intranet as part of the '100 Schools Program'. Working in partnership with our community, we provide a supportive and caring environment underpinned by strong values and a commitment to celebrating the wonder and excitement of learning. Engagement of students is promoted through a range of innovative Pastoral Care programs including Choir, Boys Contemporary Dance and 'Bounce Back'. Our students, staff and families share a genuine desire to strive for excellence. Creativity and play are valued as an essential part of the learning process and parents are invited to take an active role in their child's education. | ||||
