| At High Wycombe Primary School we aim to provide a happy, safe and stimulating environment sensitive to the needs of all. Each child will be encouraged to become the best person they can. We will provide learning opportunities so that children are equipped to deal with the challenges of a changing world. High Wycombe Primary School opened in 1961 and is one of two level five government schools in the suburb. It has a current enrolment of 418 students which includes Kindergarten and Pre Primary children. The school is set in attractive and well-maintained gardens with considerable oval areas and play facilities for children. The buildings are in good condition considering the age of the school. The student population is homogeneous with very few children from Non English speaking background. The school motto is 'Friendship and Learning.' This is incorporated in the school logo which is a banksia flower in the school colours of red white and blue. The school uniform is predominantly royal blue with red and white trim. The school has an orthodox U-shaped quadrangle with segregated classrooms facing the area. This area houses most of the Middle to Upper Primary. A second newer cluster holds the Year 1 and 2 classes. There is a purpose built computer automated library and three detached PP/K rooms. There is an undercover assembly area. A canteen operates every day of the week. Considerable efforts are made to provide and maintain an excellent physical appearance of the school. Garden presentation is notable. The school grounds and buildings are subject to constant renewal and upgrade. Our School Council and P&C Association is comprised of members of an involved, active and motivated parent group. Our school is fortunate to have committed and supportive parents who work for, and fundraise, to enable many types of school improvements to occur. | ||||

| Very friendly, understanding and helpful Teachers. Clean. Well presented. Lovely front office staff. They run good programs to encourage the children to get involved with on and other, ie. peer support program, lunch 'games' groups..... | split classes | I have had two kids go through this school and am looking forward to my next two experiencing the same devotion from the staff. | ||
