| CATCHMENT AREA - COMMUNITY A well defined catchment area between City Beach, Churchlands, Jolimont, Daglish and Wembley. A section of area overlaps with Jolimont. Other reasons for enrolment relate to the educational programs offered at this school and to the reputation of school. Parents have high expectations regarding educational outcomes and student achievement. A significant number of parents were former students at this school. BUILDING GROUNDS Floreat Park Primary School is located west of the Floreat Forum shopping centre. The school is well maintained and resourced. An outdoor learning area complements the existing classrooms. The covered area is fully secured with roller doors. All classrooms, library and administration are air-conditioned. Arrangements are made with the Town of Cambridge to have daily access to nearby McLean Park STUDENT POPULATION In Year 2006, a 13 class structure will accommodate 325 students. 38 students are enrolled in the school's off-site Pre Primary Centre in Birkdale Street, Floreat. Academic, sporting and cultural achievements are features of this school. State monitored tests are used to assess student progress. Results exceed the State averages. Students identify strongly with Floreat Park Primary School; exhibit high self esteem and achieve considerable success in the government and non-government secondary schools after graduation from this school. Many students take up scholarships in both government and non-government schools. STAFFING PROFILE Generally, an experienced staff with an average tenure at this school of ten-twelve years. The current Principal was appointed in 1992. The School is allocated a Registrar (four days), School Officer (three days) Library Officer (three days) and three teacher assistants (2.45 FTE). Leadership and professional responsibility are encouraged and opportunities are made available in many areas of the school. A professional, team oriented staff exists at Floreat Park Primary School. Curriculum co-ordinators provide leadership in all areas. SPECIAL FEATURES A very strong music program throughout the school with seven instruments being taught at this school. In 2006, 80 students were involved in the School of Instrumental Music Program. The school library is automated and well resourced Collaborative teaching strategies combined with team directed performance management strategies are reflective of the high morale and professional commitment exhibited by staff. Students in years 3-7 have access to the Italian LOTE program. Optional sport activities during Term 4 allows for a range of different sports and venues to be accessed, including golf, badminton, squash and archery. Swimming and athletics interschool carnivals, feature high on the list of sporting achievements at Floreat Park Primary School. PARENT INVOLVEMENT IN SCHOOL Strong parent involvement occurs through the P & C Association, School Council , sundry sub-committee groups and special functions held throughout the year. Financial support of the school's operations from the P & C Association and special projects undertaken, enhance the school's facilities and resources available to students and to the teaching and learning programs. | ||||

| Floreat Park Shows good education. It has a great music programme and is kind to all students. The teachers are amazing and teach the kids so much. I am so glad my kids go there. | nothing at all!!! | It is The best school ever... | ||
