| Eneabba Primary School is situated approximately 150 kilometres south of Geraldton and 280 kilometres north of Perth on the Brand Highway. The student population is a diverse mix, coming from a background of rural activities and mining services associated with the mineral sands operations in the area. There is much speculation recently about the introduction of a coal mine (Aviva) and a large scale almond growing operation in the area While there was a decrease in the student numbers several years ago, the student numbers have increased to about 40 and have been quite stable over the last 2 years. The school is rich in resources with beautiful leafy green grounds and gardens, large classrooms, playgrounds and sporting equipment, computers and learning resources. Our class sizes are small and students receive individual attention with the generous levels of staffing. The learning programmes at Eneabba are rich and exciting with the students achieving well in all Learning Areas. A variety of activities are undertaken throughout the year with the students drawing on the rich natural environment around them. This includes the National Parks, the mining operations, beautiful coastal areas, wildflowers and Lake Indoon. An example of this is the annual Banners in the Terrace competition which the school enters each year. In 2007, the school has had a change of teaching staff with 2 new teachers taking on the K - Year 3 class and the Year 4 - 7 classes respectively. We currently have the service of a part time teacher who provides DOTT relief,a Learning Support Coordinator an RIP Aide, a part time Education Assistant, a part-time Library Officer, Registrar, 2 part time Cleaners and Gardener. The school is fully air-conditioned as a result of P&C support and is looking to having its evaporative airconditioners in the senior classrooms upgraded through the Investing In Our Schools programme. Eneabba school buildings have also marked for significant maintenance at the end of 2007. Eneabba has been eligible to extra funding through the Priority Country Areas Program (PCAP). This enables the school to provide individual support for students having difficulties and to provide activities through camps, excursions and incursions. There is a focus on providing a safe and inclusive learning environment with the emphasis on teaching social skills, cooperative learning and values. The school enjoys tremendous support from its student families, P&C, local associations and mining companies which enhance the positive relationship between the school and the local community.
