| Edgewater Primary School's ethos is the provision of a caring environment and encouraging students to strive for excellence in all aspects of their academic and personal development. Situated in the northern suburb of Edgewater, approximately twenty (20) kilometres from Perth city, the school is located close to the City of Joondalup. In this family oriented community, students are motivated to learn and parents are supportive of the school with 100a0wearing of the school uniform. School buildings are fully air conditioned and surrounded by shaded gardens with covered seating and ample play areas including a large oval, basketball courts and an undercover area. There is a school canteen. The school commenced in 1983 and has a cohort of experienced teachers and support staff. Enrolment is currently 400 primary and 100 pre-primary with students coming mainly from Edgewater. Approximately 75 students are drawn from other areas. There are school-wide procedures for the early identification and support of students with learning difficulties, as well as those with behavioural, emotional or social difficulties. Whole-school policies and programs for Managing Student Behaviour (including anti-bullying), a School Dress Code, and a Code of Conduct are well established. There is a Peer Mediation Program in place and the school now has a School Chaplain. Edgewater Primary School has an up to date computer laboratory with the latest computers, broadband internet connection and a fully automated library resource centre. All classrooms, including the library, have a bank of fully networked computers within their building with internet access and a wide variety of software. The specialist programs offered include Visual Arts for all students from Years 1-7, and Communication Technologies and Languages Other Than English (LOTE - Indonesian) for all Pre-Primary to Year 7 students. Other programs offered include instrumental tuition in clarinet and trumpet, and guitar lessons (optional). Edgewater Primary School also has its own school 'rock' band. Edgewater Primary School has an vital and involved Parents and Citizens' Association and a School Council. Both are well established and active forums for parent involvement. There are clear processes that link the school and these two bodies to form a channel of consultation and decision making for parents and staff. Parents are encouraged to be involved in the school and to maintain formal and informal contact with their children's teachers. | ||||

| The teachers are the best thing about the school. Mrs Todd, Mrs Rose, Mr Bailey the list is endless. | There is no fencing around the school. | Fantastic school you would you would have trouble finding a better primary school than this. | ||

| i attended Edgewater and i would say that it lives up to its logo of CARING and it is always putting the welfare of the kids first | there are not many bad things about Edgewater, except that the oval needs fencing around it | edgewater is a great school, caring and kind. it's teacher's are supportive, especially Mrs. Binks, and encourage kid's to think outside the box etc. a wonderful school 10/10 | ||
