| Davallia is a school with a very strong sense of community, where relationships between all stakeholders are based on respect, trust, confidence, empathy and cooperation. Learning and achievement are valued and celebrated in our pursuit of excellence in education. Our efforts are focussed on improving student outcomes across a broad curriculum. The school is a safe and secure place. We work towards our students being happy, having high self-esteem and taking responsibility for their learning and behaviour. We are proud of our school. Davallia Primary School is situated in the established northern suburb of Duncraig. The school was opened in 1974 and features three teaching blocks, an administration building, a library resource centre, an assembly area, a pre primary centre and an offsite kindergarten. The school has an enrolment of 450 students from kindergarten to year seven. There are two classes in each year level. An Education Support Unit caters for students with learning disabilities. Over the past decade numbers have increased slightly and the school is currently near capacity. The school is administered by a principal and two deputy principals and has a total of thirty teaching staff and fourteen non-teaching staff. The school implements the curriculum of the Department of Education and Training and our activities are bound by the Education Act. Programs cover the eight learning areas. A music specialist works with all primary classes and instrumental music programs are offered to talented students from year 3-7. All students from year 3-7 participate in our French program. Over the years Davallia Primary School has demonstrated very high standards of academic achievement and student behaviour. The school is highly regarded by a community which values quality education for its children. The school is fortunate to have a very supportive school community which has in recent years funded the air-conditioning of all buildings, built new playground structures, built a library extension and is currently planning to enclose the assembly area. Parents also assist with policy development discussions, classroom programs, excursions and with the provision of a variety of services to the school and its community. | ||||

| Very strong academic results. Excellent programs for students at educational risk. Excellent pastoral care program. | Buildings are well past their use by date. | An excellent school that competes well with private schools. | ||
