| One of Perth's older schools, Cottesloe Primary School celebrated its Centenary in 1997 and has the main school building entered in the Register of the National Estate by the Australian Heritage Commission. Serving some 180 families, the school draws on the suburbs of Cottesloe, Peppermint Grove and Mosman Park. The school has an active Parents and & Citizens' Association, the School Council and individual parents contribute a great deal to the corporate life of the school. The school community places a great emphasis on education of the children and support by their parents. The school has a blend of experienced staff in all teaching areas and a very low staff turnover rate. Specialist programs are offered in music, art and LOTE (Languages Other Than English). Cottesloe Primary School has many former students who now hold high-profile community, cultural and business positions. A special Centenary Year history of the school, 'From Ink to Internet', has been written by Trish Henderson and Selena Baxter. | ||||
