| Cadoux Primary School is a small school in a rural community in the Central Wheatbelt, 215 kms from Perth. The school is in the Wongan-Ballidu Shire, however it includes students from the Shires of Koorda and Dowerin. The school has a strong commitment to educational excellence. Cadoux consists of a general store/post office agency and four occupied residential properties, one of which is the principal's residence. The other noteworthy building is the Cadoux Recreation Centre, which is the social centre of the town at weekends and the official meeting area for community projects. The 2008 school enrolment currently stands at 30 students. The majority of the school population lives beyond the town and two buses transport the students with the remainder travelling to school by car.Cadoux Primary School is serviced by the Midlands District Education Office which is located in Northam. The school receives extra funding through the Priority Country Area Project(PCAP)to enable students to participate in educational experiences they might normally be excluded from due to distance. Learning programs in the eight areas identified in the Curriculum Framework document are the responsibility of the school and are well established. The LOTE program in Japanese is provided through the School of Isolated and Distance Education via Telematics (interactive telephone/computer link-up) and Westlink television. A feature of the school is the surrounding garden, which is the envy of other schools in the Midlands District. Sporting facilities include a netball/basketball court and bare earth playing field. The oval at the Recreation Centre is used for athletics and the associated tennis, squash and basketball courts are well utilised. The Recreation Centre is also the venue for the end-of-year Presentation Night. STAFFING The school is fortunate to have the services of a number of talented, dedicated teaching and non-teaching staff. Currently the school has a staffing allocation of 3.20 FTE, 1.0 being the principal. Excluding the principal there are four teachers working in job share or part time equivalent positions. Non-teaching staff include Registrar, Library Officer, RIP Education Assistants,Gardener/handyperson and Cleaners.
