Bramfield Park Primary School is one of five primary schools in the Maddington cluster, which feeds into Yule Brook College.

STUDENTS:

At the commencement of 2007, the school student enrolment was 265 students. There are 22 Kindergarten, 26 Pre Primary and 215 Primary students. Student enrolments have been declining for some years.
The Aboriginal population represents around 12% of the school. Students from Asian, African and New Zealand origins also form significant minority groups in the school.

PHYSICAL:

The school consists of two linear teaching blocks bordering the library/resource centre and the administration block. In addition there is a purpose-built Kindergarten and two transportable Pre Primary centres.

Adjoining the buildings is an oval, a smaller playing field and a bitumen playing area that includes a netball and basketball court. Playground equipment and climbing frames are also in close proximity to the buildings.

ORGANISATION:

The school's organisation includes:
* One Kindergarten class.
* One Pre primary class.
* Nine primary classes

STAFF:

The school staff is an experienced group. All teachers in the school are committed to whole school Plans and Priorities. Staff have developed Progress Maps for K-7 for plotting student achievement.

SCHOOL COUNCIL:

An elected School Council meets at least once per term.

PARENTS AND CITIZENS:

The P & C Association is very supportive of the school. It is involved in essential fund raising for school activities, resources, equipment and the successful operation of the school budget.
The Annual General Meeting of the P & C is held in February.

STUDENT and KID'S COUNCILS:

Six senior students are elected to this council by their peers and by teaching staff on a rotational basis each term to allow for student leadership growth in the school.
* In 2007, a Kid's Council and Peer Mediator Team operated with two Reps from each class and made decisions relating to school life in general.

SPECIAL FEATURES:

Bramfield Park Primary School provides a wide ranging curriculum to ensure every child is treated as an individual and as part of the school 'family'.
The school is very well equipped with new and substantial information technology equipment, having a computer lab with 30 new networked computers. The school is planning for new SmartBoards in 2008 and lap-top computers in each classroom (3 year plan). The school is a SLICT school.
