Established in 1985, Beldon Primary School has seen more than one thousand children pass through its ranks. We are now seeing traditions of attendance across family generations. The school generally draws children from a broad socio-economic and cultural range. It also attracts a number of children from outside the local area.
The students from the Beldon Education Support Centre, which shares our school campus, are integrated into the primary school wherever and whenever possible.

There is an experienced and loyal staff including a Getting It Right Maths Teacher, an Inclusive Schools Trainer, a Visual Arts specialist, a Music specialist and Physical Education specialist. The collaborative approach taken by all staff ensures a quality teaching and learning program.

Facilities include air-conditioned and gas-heated classrooms, access to a large shire oval with a cricket pitch, basketball and netball courts and adventure playgrounds. There is an enclosed hall and assembly area for cultural and sporting events, a large modern library resource centre, internet-linked computers in each classroom, an art centre and a performing arts room.

An instrumental music program for guitar is available for selected students from Years 6 and 7. The Year 7 Leadership Program is an integral part of the school and an important component of the children's transition to high school. The children have a well-planned physical education program, supported by a Physical Education specialist, which allows all children the opportunity to take part in daily fitness and regular sport activities.

In Years 5, 6 and 7 children identified as being gifted and talented are offered enrichment courses through PEAC (Primary Extension and Challenge). Classroom extension programs and support programs are also provided to enable all students to maximise their potential.

There is strong community support from parents and local community who, in recent years, have funded areas such as the air-conditioning of the school, the purchase of sports equipment and the purchase of library books. The Parents & Citizens' Association also run a Safety House Program and a most successful Canteen two days each week. Approximately one hundred parents regularly help in the school's library, canteen and classrooms.

Many of our students win scholarships to a wide range of programs at local secondary schools. It is with pride that Beldon Primary School has built a reputation for developing resilient, capable students as they make their way into secondary schooling.
