| Babakin Primary School is a small friendly rural school located in the Central Wheatbelt area of Western Australia. The town is approximately 250kms east of Perth. The nearest major centres are Corrigin, 29kms south and Bruce Rock, 38kms to the north. The area is predominately used for grain and sheep farming. The majority of students live within a 30km radius of the school, with several travelling by bus and others car-pooling from Corrigin and Bruce Rock districts. Babakin Primary School caters for students in Kindergarten through to Year 7. Babakin Primary School caters for the very specific needs of our 21 students through the provision of quality educational programs. This service is one reason that has lead to the large increase in our numbers. Our school is able to cater very successfully, in every aspect for all students in a safe, caring and family orientated environment. Our very dedicated teachers are all part-time locals who turn up fresh and enthusiastic each week, fully prepared to cater for our multi-aged classroom. Our teachers team teach and this allows for major flexibility when grouping. We also boast a music specialist, a LOTE teacher and a full time assistant. The policies and programs are developed through consultation with the School Council and the P&C Association and we are privileged to enjoy outstanding support from our parents and the wider community. | ||||
