| Armadale Primary School takes great pride in offering the very best educational opportunities for it 460 students. Programs at the school are designed to cater for the intellectual, physical, emotional and social aspects of an individual's development, with an emphasis on the whole child. Our aim is to make schooling 'the best days of their lives' by creating a positive, vibrant and safe learning environment where students can achieve success and want to come to school. Serving the educational needs of the area for over 100 years the new school was built in 1987 and is etched into the side of the Darling escarpment. The schools architecturally designed brick buildings are built on nine levels and are surrounded by natural bush and a babbling brook. The school is known for its Orienteering Team (9 times state champions), its dynamic skipping team the Hopperoos, which perform regularly in the metro area and its performances at the Wakakirri (a story dance) festival held at Burswood. The strong music program provides opportunities for students to perform at local events such as the Dale Fest, Araluen Tulip Festival and ANZAC services. As a member of ACTF (Australian Children's Television Foundation) students have access to the latest media resources to support their viewing learning programs. The school has experienced success both academically and on the sporting field and is successful in the local athletics and swimming events. Academically, many students receive scholarships to a variety of secondary schools and gain entrance into specialist programs such as aviation at Kent Street SHS. The P&C and School Council are very proactive and make a significant contribution to Armadale Primary School. The excellent support supplied to our school by the community and staff ensure that the students enjoy an outstanding education. | ||||
