Three of the classes are multi-year level (grouped) classes. Kindergarten children continue to attend the Tain Street Centre off site. THE STAFF A total of 46 staff work at Applecross Primary. The staff population is experienced, highly qualified and abreast of new educational trends. The excellence of our staff can be seen through the regular nominations for the Premier's Teacher of the Year Awards and the success achieved as Level 3 class teachers. The school enjoys the support of a school chaplain one day per week. THE SCHOOL The school is set amid picturesque and historical grounds and having a small remnant strip of bushland bordering the oval, offers the opportunity to connect with environmental issues. Aboriginal cultural awareness and appreciation, CALM talks and revegetation programs have all developed out of curriculum studies in this area. Community Use of School Resources The Applecross community is extremely supportive of the school and work in an excellent partnership with teachers to provide the very best educational opportunities for our children.
