Bundarra Primary School is located in the city of Portland close to the Portland Secondary College. The school was established in 1982 to provide for the increased enrollment associated with the establishment of the Portland Aluminum Smelter. The school manages its own preschool on site that provides programs for 3 and 4 year old children. Portland’s Special Development School adjoins the school site. The new facilities compliment the extensive playing fields, playground equipment, treed and garden areas that enhance the schools rural outlook. The school enrollment has stabilised in the 215 – 230 range. Currently 11 classes operate to provide teacher pupil ratios of 1:21 in Prep – 2 and 1:24 in 3 – 6. | Bundarra is a colourful and welcoming environment. The staff are dedicated to providing their students with an education which is rich and supportive. The discipline system is one which is adhered to strongly and parents receive regular feedback. Students have access to Interactive Whiteboards and a lab of 30+/- computers. | Haven't encountered any yet. | Bundarra has a unique environment where the staff extend their own philosphies of respect and empathy to their students. I am proud to have children attend Bundarra Primary School. | ||||||||
