Warialda Public School was established in 1851, making it amongst the oldest in the state. One of the early classroom buildings now serves as an open plan office and staffroom. The school services the township of Warialda and the surrounding rural areas in the Yallaroi Shire. Its student population is 220, with more than half of the students travelling to school by bus. The school has a spacious, well-grassed and well maintained playground and there are adequate shady areas where students can sit quietly out of the sun. It is staffed by an experienced, caring group of teachers and support staff. There is a strong emphasis placed on literacy and numeracy and the students have access to the services of a reading recovery teacher and support teacher (learning difficulties).
