The current Wallerawang School, opened in May 1995, is a modern facility featuring ten spacious classrooms, a large modern library (incorporating a computer lab), tiered learning area, hall, games court, fixed equipment area and grassed play area set in a picturesque rural setting overlooking Lake Wallace. The school grounds continue to improve through the planting of several hundred native plants. The School has set the following priorities: staff training and development; assessment data filed on spreadsheets; student portfolio folders; student welfare - child protection; sequenced programs for children with special learning needs; behaviour management; specialist music programs; and carefully designed and implemented programs in literacy, numeracy, human society and its environment, creative and practical arts, science and technology and personal development, health and physical education.
