Wahroonga School is a school for children from Kindergarten to Year 6 and is part of the state education system operated by the NSW Department of Education and Training. It is situated in a unique environmental setting which contains species of trees which are a part of a remnant forest of native Blue Gum/Blackbutt trees. The school has a distinct and positive identity. This is based on continuing tradition, breadth of extra curricula activities and its stable and supportive population.
