Villawood East Public School was established in 1955 and in 1999 was awarded The Director-General's School Achievement Award for Programs to Support Students. Our statement of purpose is "Quality Learning through Participation and Equity". We believe that all children can learn and that children learn best when they are in a happy and safe environment. We value the individual, co-operative learning, active participation, collaboration and collegiality, open communication and active participation. The acquisition of literacy skills for all children is the school's highest priority. We have an outstanding record in integrating and including children with special needs. There is a strong emphasis on performing arts.
