| Terara was the original site of settlement for the now larger town of Nowra. The main building of the school was erected in 1881 and is an impressive sandstone structure. The school, which stands on the river flood plain and is surrounded by lush green paddocks has the feeling of a small, friendly rural school. The majority of students do not reside within the Terara Village but travel to the school by bus or car. A small number of pupils walk or bicycle to school. At Terara Public School we aim to recognise the worth of each individual student and provide a variety of learning experiences catering for the educational needs of all students in a happy, caring and safe environment. The school also aims to provide a school environment which achieves positive attitudes and values towards education, and a commitment to the personal welfare of all students. | ||||
