Tamworth South Public School's aim is to help each student achieve personal excellence in a safe and happy learning environment. Our students represent all sections of the Tamworth community. We also provide five special needs classes. Our emphasis on pursuing personal excellence, which earned the Outstanding Program Award in 1999, our large attractive and user-friendly grounds and the opportunities we provide for all students in the performing arts are features our school community is proud of. Enrolments reached 750 in 2000 and we have been unable to accept all non-local enrolments. Our community feels that our aim to provide a safe happy environment is being achieved. They also want their children to have the opportunities we provide.
