| Tacking Point Public School has been operating now for four years. The school has grown over this time to cater for over 650 students. The school has a focus on literacy and numeracy programs giving students a strong foundation in basic skills. The school also promotes student participation in the performing arts with choir, band and drama groups performing at eisteddfods, music festivals, community concerts and other events. Students achieve excellent results on the sporting field with representation in team knockouts and many children progressing to state level in PSSA competition. The school is very active in the area of student welfare with a sound discipline code and many programs operating to address the special needs of individuals. | Tacking Point has excellent, committed and skilled teachers who put the students first. They encourage academic, sporting and cultural pursuits and have a wide variety of options available for students including band (junior and senior), dance groups, sporting teams, Tournament of the minds, debating etc. | There is nothing bad I can say about Tacking Point Primary. I have had children at the school for nine years and they have thoroughly enjoyed the school and the opportunities it provided. | Enrol your kids! You won't be sorry. | ||

| The children seem happy enough at the school. There are some good ideas in place, the band is good and well run.The PTA seems enthusiastic.I am pleased with my childs teacher this year. | The school is too large(32 in at least one class) and I have found the experience quite impersonal. Some "opportunities" are only for the selected few, and there is no encouragement to participate anyway if the child does not show a natural talent. For example, at swimming carnival, you cannot enter some races unless you are in the squad. Sunsafety is advertised as a part of the schools policy, however I have had a different experience of this on more than one occasion. I also never met my childs teacher last year! | I would not send my children to this school if I had my time over. I feel the school is riding on its past reputation but things have changed and I feel that children should be encouraged to have a try. | ||
