| Spencer Public School is a small isolated school situated on the Hawkesbury River, approximately 50 kilometres from Gosford. The school celebrated it's centenary this year, with classes first commencing in November 1900 about one kilometre from the current school site. For most of the school's history, it has been a 'one- teacher' school, with pupils numbers ranging from 7 to up to 46 students at any one time. Spencer Public School is committed to providing individuals the opportunity to maximise their unique potential. We aspire to develop thinking citizens, capable of being effective members of a changing world, whilst maintaining the worthwhile traditions of our historic past. We achieve this by creating a cooperative, caring and stimulating environment in which motivated children and highly skilled staff combine to attain excellence in all areas of education. Students are regularly involved in sporting and cultural events throughout the year with nearby schools. This assists students to further develop skills and friendships, and helps senior students develop links with peers from other local schools who will be attending the same high school. | ||||
