Seven Hills West Public School is located close to the commercial and industrial centre of the City of Blacktown and was established in 1958. It is a Pre school to Year Six school with a support unit of five classes. Most students live in close proximity to the school. A significant number of students in the support unit are transported from outside the local area. Most families are housed in free standing dwellings either privately owned or leased from the Department of Housing. A small proportion live in medium to high density housing. The school has a strong emphasis on literacy development, meeting individual student's needs and student welfare. An excellent response to school uniform is strongly supported and recognised in the local community.
