Sanctuary Point Public School is the largest primary school in the St Georges Basin - Jervis Bay area. It is perceived by many to have a great deal of the qualities of a small country school even though it has almost 600 students. We have placed great emphasis on literacy over the last few years. The school has received support from the Disadvantaged Schools Program for 10 years and this has given the school excellent resources and extra training for teachers. The Early Literacy Initiative has also funded extra teacher training in literacy and numeracy for teachers of Kindergarten to Year 3.
