| Established in 1957, Rooty Hill Public School is an integral part of the local community, drawing its student population from established housing areas and newer estates. Diversity is reflected in the 26 cultural backgrounds of the student population. The school emphasises student leadership and participation through involvement in Peer Mediation Training, Student Representative Council, Prefects, Library Monitors, House Captains and the excursion and camping program. Whilst our emphasis is on ensuring student competency in literacy and numeracy, the school offers rich opportunities in performing arts, sport, computers and technology. | ||||

| Wonderful teaching staff and dedicated Principle focused on maintaining quality education for all students. Students are able to participate in various events such as dance (at Sydney West Dance Festival), choir (as PULSE @ Opera House, representative PSSA sports and Creatice arts to name a few. These activities are firmly supported by the teaching staff who give much of their own valuable time in and out of school hours. the schools recently upgraded playing fields and asphelt play area is a testiment to the school community who lobby for these imporvements for all the students. The school has access to before and after school services as well as vacation care which is extremely beneficial to working parents. | The inequity of the state government when puting money back into school to enhance infrustructure. The school (like all public schools) can only work with what theya re given. | A GREAT school. You only get out of a school what you as a school community member is willing to put in so to all those who are negative about any school have a good look at yourself and ask what you do for your school before you cast stones. | ||

| Used to have a good reputation. | Outdated facilities. | Eastern Creek PS and St Aidans Catholic are much better schools in all areas. | ||

| It has been situated in Rooty Hill since I was a kid | Fences, walkways and buildings do not make up a school. The spirit of the school is everything. Unfortunately, Rooty Hill has given up the ghost. | Many parents and helpers have been "cheesed off". Enough said. | ||

| I found the education of children to be of high quality. My children learnt more in a term than they did in a whole year at Eastern Creek Public. The teachers show an actual interest in the students and treat them like people instead of children. | The bullying needs to be sorted, other than that there are no bad things. | The school was one that did well by my children, and should do well with many other generations. | ||

| Great education and very friendly. Teachers help children individually who are constanly struggling. | It's pretty much like a normal public school, a few bad kids here and good ones there. | THe facilites use to be out of date but this year in 09 new features are constantly being added such as the grass, the paintings on the concrete and the new interative boards some lucky classes are going to recieve. | ||

| A reasonably-sized school in a convenient location. | Outdated facilities and classrooms. Arrogant attitudes prevail. | It's had a downward slide over the last ten years. | ||
