Ramsgate Public School serves a diverse community on the western shore of Botany Bay. Over 71 years Ramsgate has built up a tradition of successful learning and effective teaching. It is regarded by the community as a proficient school. The children of Ramsgate reflect their community - they are good, positive learners who come to school ready to learn. 'Ever Onward' is the motto of Ramsgate School. This statement describes the aspiration of the school to serve the community now and for the challenges of the future. According to recent parent and staff surveys, the key ideas which drive the school are: the need to achieve effective learning; the value of a lifelong joy of learning; the need for learning to be a positively challenging experience and the need for all members of the school community to care for and respect themselves and others. The Ramsgate community believes that their school is a worthwhile place and are proud to belong to a school that, having a proud past, is prepared for the task of shaping the future.
