Pennant Hills Public School is situated on two sites, one kilometre apart near a main link road between Parramatta and Hornsby. The school was established in 1925 and this year the community celebrated 75 years of quality education. Our school is characterised by the wonderful support of the parents and the local community. In recent evaluation surveys, all respondents commented on the "community spirit and involvement" that exists at Pennant Hills and most acknowledged the dedication and commitment of staff. We have developed a belief statement that is published and revised each year with staff and parents and is on display in all classrooms. Our school's statement of purpose and beliefs is: 'We believe that children learn best when - they experience success; they are encouraged to take risks in their learning; they are motivated to learn and their achievements are appropriately recognised; they are challenged with their learning; they are supported by their peers, teachers and parents; they understand that learning is a lifelong process; they experience a variety of learning experiences.'
