| Parramatta West Public School community is diverse in nature. More than 75% of the student population is from a background other than English, including over 50 different language groups. The school's culture is one of inclusion. Provision is available for students with physical disabilities. The school has, during 2000, undertaken to establish a special class for students with emotional disorders. With such a diverse student population, the school emphasises the basics in literacy and numeracy, while providing a broad range of programs to meet the developmental needs of individual students. Positive self-esteem is one of the features of the students and staff alike. Parramatta West Public School is well resourced and is supported by a small, yet enthusiastic Parents and Citizens organisation. | ||||
