North Sydney Demonstration School has been a co-operating school with the Faculty of Education at The University of Sydney since 1952. This special arrangement encourages the school to continually reflect on its theory and practice to provide quality education for the children at the school and support for the teacher training program of The University of Sydney. In return the university supports the school, particularly in the area of teacher professional development. North Sydney Demonstration School aims to provide quality education for all students through the co-operation between students, parents and staff, and the promotion of respect and understanding of others. The enjoyment of learning in a safe environment, where students develop a sense of belonging and are recognised for their achievements, is a school focus.
